My sister and I went to see Dear John today. And I'm thinking I should start doing movie reviews since I see so many now.
But I had this exchange with one of the managers.
Me: Hey, can I get two for the 4:15 Dear John?
Manager: No.
Me: Are we sold out?
Manager: Yes.
Me: Really?
Manager: Really. I can get you the 5:15.
Me: -looks at sister- Well?
Sister: Um...
Me: What else is playing?
Manager: Well, the 4:15 Dear John...
Me: -smiles- I'll take those.
I think if the manager of the theatre seems to like me enough to joke around with me like that and knows my name and face from a distance (the other day he was halfway down the hall while I was refilling the condiment stand and he said g'night to me) that's a good sign for things like promotions. I haven't been working there THAT long yet.
